So, How does it Work?

You can use cash or the funds in your TFSA, RRSP, spousal RRSP, LIRA and RRIF registered accounts to invest in the REIT – it is particularly advantageous to use registered funds as returns are tax free. You are essentially buying “units” that get reevaluated each quarter. When you are ready to sell, you receive market value.

Although there is no minimum requirement for how long you need to invest in Cascadia Green REIT, generally you should look at it as a long-term investment. Normally, private REITs specify how many units can be redeemed during specific timeframes; with CGREIT you are only limited to quarterly withdrawals.
