My name is Hedieh Safiyari, CEO and founder of PromptHealth and I am disrupting the health and wellness industry by creating a platform that helps Canadians seeking care reach informed decisions about their health with credible educational resources and personalized care options.
At 16-years old, I immigrated to Canada from Iran. I grew up as an athlete and suffered my fair share of injuries. My mother is a cancer survivor, and helping her through recovery, it was very clear that the preventative model of care has never been part of a typical traditional healthcare system. Eventually, my interest in health and wellness led to obtaining my undergrad in kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. I went on to finish my master’s degree in cardiac rehab and worked as a clinician in cardiac rehab for over 15 years at one of the pioneer companies of private healthcare in Canada.
After 20 years in the health and wellness industry, I saw there were gaps in the way people discovered care options and wanted to do something about it. In 2015, I pursued my executive MBA at SFU to learn how I could approach this issue. After completing 2 years of consultancy work in the health and wellness industry, I launched PromptHealth in 2020.
